I tell you true, my friends, that I sometimes do feel a sense of hopelessness. Naturally, I am speaking of existential ponderings - hardly worth a scrape of my pen or a dash of my keyboard in this public forum space - but I must advise my fellow readers: conceal your fame. Hide it away, lock it deep within yourself, and do not think for a moment that you will do so effectively by wearing suspenders or brightly colored trousers. I speak from experience. I am a presence known to all, and my fame carries with it a sense of duty and obligation. For instance, I've mentioned my trousers already, so allow me to embellish. I must spend a great deal of time pressing, maintaining and mending. It is my duty to the public to find a tailor suitable (ah ha!) for assisting me in these matters. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is a burden.
Yet again, I am a quiet man - one who prefers to meander the streets of the world unadorned in solitary contentment. How can such a disparity exist? How can one man endure both the torture of adoration and the silence of cold moonlight? 'Tis not an easy task, but do not fear, friends. My hopelessness is merely a diversion, a distraction from my purpose. And with my suspenders hanging next to my neatly ironed caribbean orange Brooks Brothers trousers and argyle sweater, my purpose is clear.
Thank you, my friends. Ciao.

1700 Hours, My Friends
Ahhh. I find this time of the day quite blissful, yet please don't let my quiet confidence deceive you, as I am a man of many quandaries. Though I am enjoying the aged perfection of bordeaux, I am also deliberating on my students' failing rate in Global Studies. It is more than impressive. I could attribute this reality to the number of student papers resting gently on the floor of my automobile, ungraded, undisturbed. Yet again, I could refill my wine glass and shift my curiosity to my shoes. They are in need of a polish.
I will keep my ramblings limited tonight, as I have a great many engagements I must attend. I tip my hat to you all - ciao.
